Autoweek reader J. Monroe spotted a camouflaged BMW X5 convoy somewhere on Interstate 26, which just so happens to run near the German automaker's Spartanburg, S.C., plant (one of the X5's production sites). Despite a strategic application of BMW's dazzling, swirly vinyl wrap, the lines of these X5s were identical to those on the models available now.

The new CTS Sport Wagon took pride of place on Cadillac’s Paris show. After a strong reception at the elite Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach, California in August 2008, the European unveil was the first time most of us have been able to get up close and personal with the large estate. The load-lugging version of the CTS keeps the same well received front-end looks and genuinely quality interior feel of the saloon but adds a pleasing and distinctively angular rear end and side profile.

It seems a bit odd, walking in to a unit which looks from the outside as if it should be turning out plastic widgets or some other industrial estate fodder, to be confronted by a sea of glorious cars. Walk through the door and there sits the pair of RHD Mercedes CLK-GTRs we reported on recently. Stunning to look at, they look better in the flesh than in the pictures.
